Dr. Gurvinder Kalra completed his specialist training in India & subsequently obtained his Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP) in Australia. He is currently working as Consultant Psychiatrist with the acute inpatient unit in Latrobe Regional Hospital (Traralgon) and with the Gender Clinic at Monash Health. He is also Senior Adjunct Lecturer at the Monash School of Rural Health.
His clinical areas of interest are mood disorders, grief and bereavement, mental illness in various cultural groups and migrants, mental health in gender and sexual minorities and in particular trans, gender-diverse and non-binary individuals.
